1. Multiplex-1 Without Iron - the Foundation of the Protocol
A comprehensive multivitamin-mineral supplement. Formulated for maximum bioavailability with activated coenzyme forms of vitamins B2 and B6, flush-free inositol hexaniacinate, and mineral citrates and malates.
2. Probiotic 40 Billion for Digestive Support
Probiotic 40 Billion capsules provide 40 billion CFUs of probiotic strains from the lactobacillus and bifidobacterium genera and prebiotic fructooligosaccharides. These special acid-resistant capsules bypass the stomach and breakdown in the small intestinal fluid to allow targeted release in the intestinal tract.
The human gut microflora comprises over 1,000 microbial species, which play a major role in our defense mechanisms, neural system and brain function. Age, environment, diet and lifestyle are all factors that may change the gut microbial composition. A balanced gut microbiota is important for metabolic functions and may be achieved through dietary supplementation of probiotics and prebiotics. Probiotics are live microorganisms, which, when administered in adequate amounts, confer a health benefit on the host. A prebiotic is a selectively fermented ingredient that results in specific changes in the composition and/or activity of the gut microbiota. For a synergistic action, probiotics are combined with prebiotics to provide health benefits.
3. D3 2000 - The Building Block
Known as the sunshine vitamin, one of the key roles of vitamin D is maintaining serum calcium and phosphorous balance. The body makes vitamin D by converting vitamin D2 to D3, or cholecalciferol, when exposed to sunlight. Vitamin D3 is also the form which the body derives from dietary cholesterol. While vitamin D is available in both forms as supplements, studies have found vitamin D3 is the preferable form, as it has been found to maintain active vitamin D levels for a longer period of time. Vitamin D is delivered as D3 (cholecalciferol) for optimal use by the body and is also available in 5,000 IU capsules, to meet a variety of individual needs.
Vitamin D is a steroid vitamin, a group of fat-soluble pro-hormones that are best known for the role they play in supporting bone health and aiding in the absorption of calcium and phosphate from the gastrointestinal tract. However, a growing body of research highlights its important role in supporting other body systems, including cardiovascular and blood sugar balance as well as increasing musculoskeletal strength, neurological and immune function enabled by its ability to target over 200 different genes throughout the body. At the same time, deficiency and insufficiency of this important nutrient has reached epidemic proportions around the world, making the achievement of optimal levels extremely important to overall health.
4. Promega-3 for Cardiovascular Support
Omega-3 fatty acids are essential cornerstones of human nutrition. They are deemed ‘essential’ because we need them for proper health-much like certain vitamins and minerals but cannot produce them on our own. We must therefore consume these fats through diet or supplementation.
Omega-3 fatty acids are required for a number of body functions, from proper blood flow to brain development; these long chain fatty acids are integral components of tissues and organ systems throughout the body, including the heart, skin, joints, eyes and immune system. Since omega-3 fatty acids are known to benefit cardiovascular health, support healthy brain function and cognition, and have also been proven to maintain a healthy inflammatory response, achieving the proper balance of omega-3s has become an important health strategy, requiring supplementation for most people.
The American Heart Association recommends that those concerned about blood lipids take up to 4 g of omega-3 fatty acids per day.
Promega-3 is a high-concentration fish oil sourced from waters off the Chilean coast. As the world’s least industrialized coastline, these cold, fresh waters provide the cleanest, most sustainable source of fish in the world. It provides 820mg of eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) per soft gel as natural triglycerides, the preferred form with superior absorption. To stabilize the oil, vitamin E (as mixed tocopherols) and rosemary extract are used to ensure maximum purity and freshness. This exclusive fish oil is purified, vacuum distilled, and independently tested to ensure heavy metals, pesticides and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) are removed to undetectable levels. Extensive research has shown that EPA and DHA from fish oil enhance cardiovascular health, promote better brain function, and support healthy skin, joints & connective tissues. With over 10,000 published studies in the last three decades, EPA and DHA from fish oil are among the most researched natural ingredients available and have a long history of safety and efficacy.
